The Stand.
Define your space. It must be clear to casual visitors and professionals alike exactly who you are and why you are there. This should be obvious from a distance. Background display banners featuring your corporate branding are essential.
At any exhibition, you want to make your display stand out from the crowd. Attracting people to your stand is part psychology, part artistry. Here are our top tips for making your exhibition display the stand that everybody will remember.
The Team.
There are two key methods to be employed by your team: spotting and hooking. The ‘spotter’ is out and about in the exhibition directing people who might be interested to your stand. The ‘hook’ stays with the stand and attracts passers-by. Everybody in the team should be knowledgeable and engaging. If they don’t know the answer to a question they must know where to find it and quickly. People at trade fairs don’t want to hang around.
The Handouts.
People who have shown an interest in your product or service should leave with something, at the very least a leaflet detailing the essentials of what your company can offer them. If you want to offer a gift make sure it is relevant and branded with your corporate identity. People will take a lollipop, but they are not going to remember at the end of the show what the person who gave it to them was selling.
The Spot.
Where you are in a labyrinthine exhibition space is an important factor. If there is a particular route that people are likely to follow, remember that the first and last few stands a person sees are the most memorable. Talk to the event organiser about the best position for your stand.
