This weekend an estimated 250,000 will descend on Hylands Park in Chelmsford and Weston Park in Staffordshire as V Festival prepares to celebrate its 21st anniversary. Managing such large events can be something of a challenge for organisers, with attendees commonly issued wristbands to help monitor traffic coming and going from the site.
In recent years those wristbands have taken on a more important role, not only identifying those who have access to the arena but also incorporating technology to allow cashless transactions at kiosks once they are inside.
