Colour Print Attends the Launch of Spaces by the Hour

At Colour Print, we’re proud to be part of a thriving Norfolk business community, and we love to connect with other local businesses and organisations – so we were thrilled when Jill Watkinson from The Space Norwich invited us to the launch of Spaces by the Hour. Nigel Thorpe, our Sales Executive, went along to the launch on Tuesday 19th July to catch up with Jill and find out more.

The Space was created by Proclaimers, a local contemporary church, when they decided they wanted their place of worship to be used during the week as well as for their Sunday events. They designed a range of flexible spaces for other organisations to use for training, conferences, seminars and more. As a social enterprise, The Space donates all profits to local and international charities. They also use their facility to help local young people gain skills and experience that will help them enter the workplace.

The Space, who were one of this year’s exhibitors at Lunch on the Green, celebrated their fifth birthday this April. Spaces by the Hour is an exciting new venture for them.

The Space’s Jill Watkinson says:

“We have lots of large spaces that can be hired by the half or full day, but we had enquiries from guests asking for smaller spaces that could be hired just for an hour. We created three new smaller spaces – our boardroom, lounge and office spaces – which can be hired by the hour.”

“We had an official launch of our new ‘Spaces by the Hour’ on 19th July, when guests were able to enjoy complimentary refreshments and view the new spaces.”

“A huge thank you to everyone who came along and to everyone who has made enquiries about using our new Spaces by the Hour.”

Dozens of local businesses attended the launch party. Everyone enjoyed seeing the new spaces, which are equipped to a high standard. Our Sales Excecutive Nigel Thorpe was very impressed with the new rooms.

Nigel says:

“It was a great pleasure to be invited to The Space open day to view the new meeting rooms, which can be hired by the hour.

“After the usual warm welcome by the lovely Jill, I was treated to coffee and Danish pastries (Jill knows me too well!) before a tour and inspection of the new rooms. 

“They’re a great addition to The Space with plenty of car parking – excellent value.”
