Being a printing company we are very aware of the impact our business and the printing industry in general has upon the world's forests. That is why we are proud to be an FSC certified company.
The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is a global organisation that is committed to encouraging the responsible use and management of the resources in the world's forests. Their global forest certification system helps consumers to identify and purchase timber and forest products that have been sourced and produced from well-maintained forests. For businesses, being allowed to use the FSC's “tick tree” logo demonstrates to customers that they meet the highest social and environmental standards.
Whilst an FSC certification is valid for five years, businesses are required to undergo an annual audit to ensure that they continue to comply with all requirements of the FSC certification scheme. This week at Colour Print we have undergone our annual audit and are delighted to say we passed!
