At Colour Print we love creative and out of the box thinking. Well with spring now upon us it won't be long before the honey season comes around and this week, whilst browsing an article about creative product packaging, our eyes were drawn to some fantastically creative packaging that had been produced for jars of honey at the Klein Constantia farm.
On initial inspection it appears to be nothing more than a white cube featuring a gold crest and small die cut slit in the front. However, look closer and you will see that the exterior of the box is actually decorated with embossed ridges to denote planks or wood and nails.
Open the box and in addition to your jar of honey you discover a bee-covered, honey comb pattern and several die cut bees. The idea is the brain child of designer Terence Kitching at At Pace Design and Communication.
We thought it was a very clever idea and wanted to congratulate Terence on such a fantastic design!
