Lunch on the Green is one of the top business events in the Norfolk networking calendar – so of course, Colour Print had to go to this year’s event! Our Sales Director Roger Tubby went along on Wednesday 13th July for a wonderful afternoon of networking and fundraising.
This year’s event featured a whole range of attractions, including a coconut shy from Brancaster House, a BATAK reaction machine from SG Wealth Management, a roulette table from Kings & Queens Fun Casinos, and a brand new Lamborghini Aventador SV from Epic Studios. Local folk band the Georgia Shackleton Trio struck up some bright tunes perfect for the beautiful summer’s day. And there were plenty of refreshments to enjoy, with beverages from Reno Wines and food from 7 Surrey Street.

Ran by Clapham & Collinge in association with Bright Yellow Marketing, Lunch on the Green launched in 2009 as a fun way to get local businesses to visit Clapham & Collinge’s Norwich office in All Saints Green. Seven years later, Lunch on the Green 2016 was the biggest yet, with over 250 people attending – double the number that came to the first event.
Bright Yellow Marketing’s Sara Greenfield said:
“This event gets bigger and bigger every year and we are so glad to raise money for a wonderful charity like Break, who get actively involved in promoting and organising the event. It is a real pleasure to work with Louis and Andrea at Clapham & Collinge. They work so hard to get everything running smoothly. It wouldn’t be such a successful event, though, without all the local businesses who attend and support us.”
With so many individuals and businesses involved with this year’s Lunch on the Green, it’s perhaps no surprise that the event raised almost £6,000 for East Anglian charity Break.

Louis Hilldrup-Boorman, Marketing Manager at Clapham & Collinge, said:
“I am delighted with the support for this year’s event, with over 250 people attending and 39 businesses exhibiting it has been our biggest and best Lunch on the Green to date. We’re incredibly proud to have raised over £5,700 for Break.”
Break has been supporting children, young people and families for nearly 50 years. Working with young people in care, children with disabilities, families in need of support and children at risk, Break is the biggest East Anglian-based charity, with over 300 staff. The money raised at Lunch on the Green will go towards Break’s vital work to change young lives.
Sarah Bunn, Senior Fundraising officer at Break, said:
“Thank you all for your kind support and such a lovely event. People adore Lunch on the Green and we are so delighted to be a part of the event again.”
Lunch on the Green 2016 was a great success, and the organisers have been receiving dozens of compliments from attendees. At Colour Print, we’d like to add our names to the list of fans, and thank Clapham & Collinge and Bright Yellow Marketing for such an enjoyable business networking event in aid of a good cause.
