Like many companies, we have become more conscious of the impact that we have on our planet. Although we live in a digital age, the demand for printed resources is as high as ever. We believe that sustainability is the way forward – which is why all of our print services are environmentally friendly.

We’ve also made positive changes to the way we operate: our production facility utilises the latest vegetable-based inks and minimises the use of chemicals. We recycle all wastage wherever possible.

Carbon balancing

We can support clients who share our commitment to sustainability by completely offsetting the carbon footprint of their printed materials. We are signed up to these two initiatives that, if desired, can ensure any carbon dioxide created by the paper manufacturing process is balanced by corresponding amounts being captured by tree planting projects.

World Land Trust

Since its foundation in 1989, World Land Trust has funded partner organisations around the world to create reserves and give permanent protection to habitats and wildlife.

Woodland Trust

This organisation works closer to home, supporting rewilding projects and the creation, protection and restoration of our domestic forests and woodlands.

Recycled paper

Increasingly, one of the first questions we get asked in the planning stages of a project is: Can the items be printed on recycled paper? The answer is: Yes. We can source a variety of recycled paper, including 100% post consumer recycled paper.

Types of recycled paper

Mill broke

Unused paper from trimmings at the paper mill can be pulped and made into more paper.

Pre-consumer

Printed but undistributed newspapers and journals can be de-inked and recycled.

Post-consumer

Paper that has been printed, distributed, used and sustainably discarded at a recycling bank.

Kraft paper

An interesting, tactile, bulky, often brown, recycled paper or board with an organic feel.

Seeded paper

Seeded paper is paper that is literally infused with seeds. The idea being that you can ‘dispose’ of it by planting it in your garden and letting nature take its course.

Vegetable inks

Vegetable based inks contain fewer Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) than traditional petroleum or spirit based inks. This means they are cleaner to produce, less toxic in the workplace, and can be removed from paper ready for recycling more efficiently. Basically at every stage they have less impact on the environment and that’s why we choose to exclusively use these. .
